Maintenance and Advantages of Medium-Frequency Furnaces

2021-04-28

Daily maintenance and upkeep of medium-frequency furnaces significantly impact their efficiency and service life. Proper routine maintenance can greatly reduce the occurrence of malfunctions, help avoid costly repair expenses, and ultimately extend the equipment's operational lifespan.

Regularly inspect and clean the radiator to maintain optimal cooling performance. If necessary, you can perform acid cleaning using an acid containing a corrosion inhibitor. While doing so, check the medium-frequency furnace's water-cooling system for any water leaks or blockages, and ensure the water-pressure relay is functioning properly and sensitively. It’s recommended that the inlet water temperature difference typically remains above 35°C.

Check the insulation of the induction coil for leaks, and inspect the wires and switches for any damage. Also, examine and clean the water tank of the medium-frequency furnace, verify the drainage valve, and remove accumulated wastewater to prevent scaling.

Clean oil stains and dust from the electrical components, then use a fan to blow them away. Check whether the wiring screws of the medium-frequency furnace are securely tightened, and verify if the thyristors, circuit busbars, transformers, and individual circuit sections have overheated.

  Advantages of medium-frequency furnaces:

  1. The component layout is well-coordinated and easy to maintain.

  2. Building on the zero-voltage startup feature, the furnace has been enhanced with automatic frequency sweeping and a repeat-start function, allowing it to closely monitor both the voltage and current loop circuits. As a result, the equipment can start and stop smoothly and reliably—without being affected by fluctuations in current.

  3. The medium-frequency furnace inverter uses a single-signal, high-sensitivity triggering circuit for its start-up signal. This further enhances the equipment’s starting performance, ensuring a high success rate during startup.

  4. The constant-power circuit control system can swiftly adjust voltage and current to the set values based on changes in charge during production, eliminating the need for manual adjustment of the inverter’s commutation angle.

  5. Highly integrated circuit design ensures quick, simple, and easy-to-learn debugging and operation. These are the advantages of using an intermediate-frequency furnace—we hope they’ll be helpful to you.
