How do you choose the right medium-frequency melting furnace for yourself?

The medium-frequency melting furnace, officially known as the "Medium-Frequency Induction Melting Furnace," is also referred to as a medium-frequency gold-melting machine. It enjoys widespread applications in the metal smelting industry, particularly playing a crucial role in the jewelry casting and manufacturing sector.
With so many medium-frequency melting furnaces on the market, how do you choose the right one? To select a safe and reliable piece of equipment that ensures your company’s production runs smoothly without any hitches, start by considering the following factors.
Basically, when selecting equipment power, we need to consider five factors.
1. Choose the appropriate product performance based on daily production needs—for example, consider both the heating volume and the corresponding surface area. If the heating volume and area are large, requiring uniform heating across a broad space, it’s best to select a melting furnace with high power and low frequency. Conversely, if the heating volume is small—and consequently the surface area is also minimal—a medium-frequency melting furnace with lower power but higher frequency would be more suitable for efficient heating.
2. Based on the duration of equipment required for daily production, if the equipment needs to operate continuously for extended periods, it’s advisable to select a medium-frequency melting furnace with a slightly higher rated power.
3. Depending on the heating rate required for daily production, a faster heating speed is necessary. Therefore, a medium-frequency melting furnace with relatively higher power and frequency should be selected.
4. Depending on the shape and size of the metal being heated—for example, if the metal has an irregular shape and a relatively large mass—choose a melting furnace with higher power and lower frequency, suitable for smaller melting volumes. Alternatively, if the metal material is in granular form, opt for a medium-frequency heating unit with lower power but higher frequency.
5. Daily-use metal materials typically belong to metals with high melting points, so the corresponding melting furnace should also be equipped with a higher-power unit. For metals with lower melting points, a furnace with slightly lower power output can suffice. Additionally, when working with metals that have low electrical resistivity—materials that are harder to heat via Joule heating—it’s essential to choose equipment with higher power. Conversely, for metals with high resistivity, a medium-frequency heating machine with lower power is more suitable.
