Proper maintenance of the quenching furnace ensures it lasts longer.

Training is provided to quenching furnace operators, enabling them to systematically learn about machine tool principles, functions, lubrication points, and related techniques. This lays a solid foundation for more effective machine tool utilization, while also allowing the development of practical, highly efficient methods tailored specifically to the operation and management of quenching furnaces.
Ensure that responsibilities are clearly defined for the operator and directly tied to financial incentives. For each incident reported, the equipment supervisor will organize a team—including equipment operators, maintenance personnel, and technical experts—to conduct a thorough analysis of the issue, identifying both primary and secondary parties responsible. Following this, the team will coordinate the necessary follow-up repair work, ensuring minimal disruption to regular production schedules. In addition, the person(s) held accountable will receive corrective feedback and training. Furthermore, based on the company’s internal “Procedure for Claiming Compensation in Cases of Abnormal Damage to Production Materials,” appropriate financial penalties will be imposed. Of course, these penalties aren’t the ultimate goal—rather, they’re intended to underscore the seriousness of the incident, encouraging those responsible to take full ownership and prevent similar mistakes from happening again. After all, while incidents or operational errors aren’t inherently alarming, what truly matters is how effectively we learn from our failures and turn them into opportunities for growth.
Strictly adhere to the principle of "water first, then electricity"; during operations, water shortages are strictly prohibited. The quality and pressure of cooling water used for internal equipment components and sensors must meet specified requirements. To prevent clogging of cooling pipes, if a pump is used to supply water, install a filter screen at the pump's inlet. Additionally, the cooling water temperature must not exceed 47°C, with a flow rate of 10 T/h. Under full-load conditions, the cooling water temperature should remain below 40°C. When using water circulation combined with softened water, ensure that the system is drained completely when temperatures drop below 0°C to avoid freezing and potential pipe rupture.
To prevent electric shock, ensure the enclosure is securely grounded according to electrical standards. First, turn on the water supply and check the water pressure as well as for any leaks. Only then proceed to power up the system. Once the DC voltmeter on the panel displays a reading of 500V or higher, you may safely open the panel's power switch.
Focusing on shift handover procedures, strengthening the daily protection and maintenance of equipment is another critical aspect of quenching furnace upkeep. Operators are required to first review the shift handover log before starting their daily tasks, then check for any unusual signs. Next, they should verify whether the machine tool's automatic lubrication tank is low on oil, and if so, manually add a few cycles of lubricant. Under normal circumstances, after a few seconds, smooth oil should begin flowing along the machine’s guideways. Only after this step should operators manually lubricate other components and attachments of the machine tool. Particularly important is ensuring proper maintenance of the hydraulic chuck—especially the piston components where the center spindle connects to the pull rod. If these parts remain unused or unattended for extended periods, they may eventually become difficult or impossible to adjust for clamping operations.
