High-Frequency Machines: Applications in Gear Hardening

High-frequency equipment is often used in various quenching processes, among which gear quenching is the most common.

What are the advantages of using a high-frequency machine in gear hardening?

1. The heating process is exceptionally fast, enabling a wider transformation temperature range for the A phase and significantly reducing the transformation time.

2. After quenching, the surface of the workpiece develops an extremely fine, hidden-crystal martensite structure, resulting in slightly higher hardness (2–3 HRC), reduced brittleness, and enhanced fatigue strength.

3. Workpieces treated with this process are resistant to oxidation and decarburization, and some can even be directly assembled and used after treatment.

4. The hardened layer is deep, easy to control during operation, and readily lends itself to mechanization and automation.

Shenqiu Yongda High-Frequency Equipment is dedicated to the research and production of high-frequency, medium-frequency, and ultrasonic equipment, primarily used in applications such as quenching, forging, heating, hammering, and melting.
